Zaner-Bloser Handwriting Contest 2016

The omission of handwriting from the Common Core State Standards is still reverberating throughout the education community.  Personally, I’m fully on the side of KEEPING handwriting in school curriculum.  I went to school when PENMANSHIP was a prominent indicator on my report cards.  Makes me feel old!  However, there are others who agree with the omission.  This my friends is one hotly debated subject.

I’m so glad that Zaner-Bloser is celebrating 25 years of the National Handwriting Contest.  Get your students excited and ready for the competition with this video:

Multiple entry categories for students Grades K-8 with additional Special Needs categories are available.  Students could win up to $1,000 for themselves and a $1,000 materials prize from Zaner-Bloser for their schools.

Entries must be postmarked no later than January 23, 2016 to be eligible.
