Sometimes paraphrasing grant requirements takes more brain power than I have. Today is one of those days. This is copied/pasted from the website.
“This grant is designed to encourage outstanding reading or literacy focused Teen Read Week activities by providing financial assistance, while recognizing YALSA members for excellent library services to teens. The applicant must plan and present an outline for a Teen Read Week activity that is coordinated by a library. The activity must be open to all teens (12-18 years). YALSA encourages innovative proposals that are inclusive of underserved teen populations, including but not limited to teens with disabilities and teens who speak English as a second language. The $1,000 grant, made possible by Dollar General, is to be used to support the activity. A total of ten grants are available. Individual library branches within a larger system are welcome to apply.
