You’ve barely started school, but its time to think far far ahead to Spring. Plan now to implement that Spring school garden into your curriculum. You need funding for that learning tool called a garden.  Last year over 500 school garden grants in the amount of $2,000 were awarded.

The Whole Foods 2015 School Garden Grant is now open to receive applications. Qualifications:
Garden must be an edible school garden located on the grounds of a K-12 school
Must be a nonprofit K-12 school or nonprofit organization in partnership with a school.

Important dates:

• Open: September 1st, 2014
• Closed: October 31st, 2014
• Review Period: Winter 2015
• Notification of all applicants: March 1, 2015
