How do you like our new design?
For the past few years, we’ve been helping teachers with our posts guiding you to contests, grants, giveaways and more avenues for possible free products for their classrooms.
The emails and social messages informing us of your “wins” are thrilling to receive.
We’re constantly approached by businesses asking us to work with them because of the QUALITY of our readership. Remaining true to our readers, we turned down many opportunities that did not fit into our very narrow content.
Weighing those opportunities with you in mind, we’ve decided to change Penniless Teacher appealing to a wider audience but not abandoning our loyal readers. This is SCARY stuff for us. We don’t want to lose you with these changes, rather offer you more opportunities along with topics that are not exclusively giveaway or contests. The changes will afford us greater appeal for larger campaigns offered by companies.
Teachers will find the same content they have come to expect by hovering EDUCATION and then selecting TEACHER in the navigation bar.
With this change, I’ve taken on a partner with more coming to expand our editorial team. My 9 year old niece is turning into a great little blogger. She is now providing her opinion and handiwork for blog posts on her own! Be still my heart!
Be sure to subscribe to our emails so you’ll get notification of our new posts.
So, take the NEW Penniless Teacher out for a spin and let us know what you think. We’re be rockin and rollin with a humdinger of a teacher post coming Sunday!
Hi…hmmm…I actually liked the way it was before…there were just your posts, specific to teacher/classroom needs, and I did not land on some other general contest website. I actually don’t understand this redesign…too bad…to me, it was more helpful the “old way,” if you will. But, I understand your need to expand.
Penny, I LOVE the new look! My whole classroom is beachy, but that is not really why I like the look. You put a lot of time and effort into updating your site, and it shows in a great way. Good luck for continued success and for giving teachers opportunities to gain new materials for our classrooms.
