I know this is a student contest, and I only post them when there is something in it for the school, not just one student. This one meets the criteria.
The contest is open to students (gr 3-7) in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut and attend school in New York City or Westchester, New York.
Students create a picture answering the question “How do you and your family save energy at home?”
Mail the 8 1/2 X 11 picture along with a 50 – 100 word essay describing the picture.
Student Prizes:
- Trip to NYC,transportation, tours, lunch
Teacher Prize:
- $600 gift card to the Scholastic Store in NYC
School Prize:
- Classroom library of Scholastic books worth $2,500
SIX Runner Up Prizes:
- Student – $50 gift card to the Scholastic Store in NYC
- Teacher – $250 gift card to the Scholastic Store in NYC
