My usual purchase plan is to purchase the FREE after rebate item over $5 in separate transactions and purchase the max 1¢ items per transaction.

This week will be 11 transactions, purchasing the limit of 6 1¢ items per transaction.  That means I’ll get 66 packages of tissues and 66 notebooks.  Keep in mind that you are charged tax.  For all of the transactions and products I should pay $4.56.  That is less than the price of the ink pens before rebate!  You can write the purchases off of your taxes as donations at the price BEFORE rebates!
