Tell me, when was the last time your #School Cafeteria had a makeover? I mean any kind of makeover, paint, decorations, anything?
The cafeteria is the one place in the# school where every single student passes through DAILY! Is there EVER any money to make the cafeteria more “homey?”
The Uncle Ben’s Beginner Program goal is to promote healthy eating habits and cooking with parents and children. Open to parents of students K-8.
Families create a short video of the parent and child creating a healthy dish that includes rice. Check the list of requirements! They are VERY specific. One entry per child, parent may enter up to 5 times. I hope you don’t have more than five children. Select from three school categories based on student enrollment.
School Participation Reward
THREE schools with the most participation in the Program will win:
- $30,000 for cafeteria makeover
- Round trip to NYC for one school winner to appear on Rachael Ray show
- $200 to cover meals and incidentals
THREE Finalist appear on Rachael Ray show
- $500 spending money
- Transportation to New York
One of three finalist will be named Grand Prize winner.

Get this in the FIRST school newsletter of the year and each classroom newsletter through the end of the contest. Investment of the money for the student winners is a great addition or start to that college education.
