How about a classroom pet for FREE? Encourage responsibility and oodles of other life lessons with a classroom pet.
Pets in the Classroom grant is available for Pre-K through 8th grade. Grants for pets are limited to specific pets listed on the grant application.
Involving the class in the selection of the type of pet provides even more ownership in the pet and process.
Should the pet be a small mammal (guinea pig, hamster, rat, rabbit or gerbil), check the appropriate box on the application. You will be sent the CareFRESH Critter College program to teach students about small animals and pet care.
