Penniless Teacher Product Spotlight @Comfort Research (X 8/10/14)

PennilessTeacherStripeTest

Our very first Penniless Teacher Product Spotlight!

This time of the year teachers are planning the layout of their classroom.  Where should the centers be located, circle time, group work, and arranging desks/tables.  There is no standard size classroom.  I was in two different schools last week in four different classrooms and no two were alike.  Take into account the size of the student and the size of the furniture to accommodate the students can reduce the size of the classroom.

Creating a visually appealing space compliments of Comfort Research will suck kids in.  Comfort Research sent us two Big Joe chairs.  We about had a knock down drag out fight on our hands.  Which classroom would receive the zebra print?  Can you say coin toss?

Our district is totally nuts when it comes to fire regulations.  Fabric/materials in the classroom must be flame retardant with the proof on the teacher since those items are not provided by the district or school.  We were thrilled to see that label on the chair.  Photos were taken of the tag because we all know that eventually, the tag will disappear.

Comfort Research Big Joe Dorm Chair is made of fabric that is easily wiped down.  Both boys and girls have cooties that should be cleaned off periodically.  Creepy crawly bugs also known as LICE inevitably are an issue causing everyone, parents and teachers to treat and wash items that could house and transmit the little boogers.  Our Big Joe Dorm Chair will clean up nicely.

We have inspected every square inch of our Big Joe Dorm Chairs for imperfections but none exist!  Talking with prior owners of Comfort Research products reassures us of high quality product that will last for years even under the brutal over use a classroom full of students provide.  Student abuse of our Big Joe Dorm chairs will begin in two weeks!

Teachers plan to utilize the pocket on the side to house the books children should read while sitting in the Big Joe Throne.  No question about what is required of the student!

Discussing the multiple uses a classroom teachers may use the Big Joe Dorm chair brought us to one conclusion.  Teachers will need to model the proper way to treat this valuable and must loved piece of furniture.  Instead of constantly telling students the correct and incorrect use of the chair prompted us to create our own visual aid.  Our laminated poster will be displayed in the classroom where students may circle or draw a star on the proper image.
