While attending my elementary math class in college, our instructor held up a dice and asked us what it was. Um, was this a trick question? It was strangely quiet in our usually loud, yet productive class. Finally, someone took the bait, “we all know it is a dice!”
NO! Declared the instructor with a huge “gotcha” smile on her face. Groans! This, she said, is a number generator. Seriously? We are expected to call a dice a number generator? I don’t think I ever called them anything except dice, but I love that story.
Anyway, Farkle Around, a new game from Patch Products is a fast pace dice (number generator) game. Watch the video. I can see this as a center in a kindie classroom for number identification and counting. And I know should any of you be one of the lucky winners of the game giveaway from Patch Products, you’ll put your own spin on it for your classroom.
Twenty winners will receive Farkle Around where you’ll then provide feedback to Patch Products.
