Growing up in Kentucky, my father would obtain permission from the farmers to pick up the popcorn left/dropped during the harvest in the fields.  We spent hours getting that popcorn off the cobs, but we had popcorn for the rest of the year to ease the pain of the blisters!  I think that’s why I love popcorn so much!
