Each of the 18 regional winners receives:

• Designation as an “NSTA/Shell Science Lab Challenge Regional Winner,” school banner, and trophy;
• $1,000 in donated science lab equipment/materials/gift certificates;
• $1,000 Shell Science Lab grant to purchase science/lab equipment and science education resource books;
• $300 gift certificate to the NSTA Bookstore;
• One year NSTA membership for twoteachers;
• NSTA Learning Center subscription for two teachers; and
• Paid registration for two teachers to attend a 2013 NSTA Area Conference on Science Education.

Grand Prize Winner school receives an additional $11,500 science lab prize package
