Finding ONE online platform to improve student performance is like finding a needle in a haystack. There are very few learning management systems that include more than one of the core four subjects, much less ONE learning management system that includes FOUR core subjects.

Like any new to you system, there is a learning curve. I must say that New Path Learning allows teachers to be up and running in a very short time. Of course, setting up classes and assigning modules to students does take time, but once the class is established, educators can quickly and easily assign the next unit the student should master.

Is the content BORING for students?

New Path Learning added equal parts of curriculum, visual appeal, and variety of modules to keep the boredom to a minimum. Teachers have options galore from the basic Q & A, to providing students with links to videos on YouTube or the Khan Academy and many others where students are NOT slammed with ads and the possibility of inappropriate materials.

Games, GaMeS, GAMES!

My personal opinion is to make learning a game as much as possible because….well, we all know why! Of particular interest to my little testers was the option to allow more than one student to “play” the board games online. Yes, board games online, no lost pieces rendering the game useless at times, all the pieces are right there online each and EVERY time!

Everyone will be enamored with the Virtual Labs available. Granted, actually experiencing and conducting lab experiments are the best option (in my opinion), but gone are the expenses of the equipment along with the safety issues with New Path Learning’s virtual labs.

So many teaching options are available from whole group multimedia lessons, down to the individual targeted instruction.

Working with New Path Learning to provide this Product Spotlight presented me with one LARGE challenge! With the vast teaching and learning opportunities, I could write a book because I ADORE this Learning Management System!

The teacher side of the New Path Learning system is BEAUTIFUL. Teachers can see exactly where a student is lacking or exceling. Setting deadlines for lessons, assigning lessons and a grade book are necessary and provided. Not only will teachers save time, but providing administration with statistical analysis of progress of each student will more than pay for the cost of the system. Parents will love the ease of home use along with detailed analysis of their child’s strengths and weaknesses.
