As I was channel surfing last week, I came across a cooking show on the Food Network where kids were competing by cooking some pretty awesome dishes (I couldn’t do that!).  Kids love to cook, maybe not Alaskan tuna, but simple learning to cook dishes.  I always has students asking for kid cookbooks in my library.  I recently gave my very own first cookbook to my niece who is totally enjoying it!

Many teachers incorporate cooking into math because it is the perfect duo!

Imperial Sugar is giving away 500 My First Cookbooks with KID-friendly easy recipes.  I know your students will enjoy this hands-on book added to your classroom library….the parents?  Maybe not so much!
