Today, DonorsChoose.org posted a collection of projects submitted by teachers in the Hurricane #Sandy region. We all want to help the communities hit hard, especially our profession of teachers. With the stellar salaries teachers make nationwide, we should be able to dig deep into our pockets, only to find very little.
We have been sharing project in the Penniless Teacher Forum on Facebook soliciting votes to help each other win prizes or help fund projects. Most projects from DonorsChoose are added to OO.com. Although OO.com is mainly a shopping site where a percentage of your purchases go toward funding through a formula I’m not going to try to paraphrase.
Long story, short, by simply registering with OO.com, you may vote daily for projects. Projects are funded by the number of votes. Vote for as many as you choose. If we concentrate on page one together, we should be able to get the projects funded as a group.
I urge you to set a reminder for yourself to vote and share, SHARE, SHARE with everyone. Anyone can register and then vote. I will post a reminder daily.
If anyone can explain earning bonus votes after a specified number of votes and WOW votes, we would appreciate your help.
