What is a “dadism” that your father was known for in your family. Our always was the “pull my finger” or he would “pet” us…(wipe your face from hair line to chin with his hand–I hated that! Probably the one that has been passed down is the whistle, my dad had a wicked whistle that we could hear for miles. When we heard that whistle, we would high tail it home. My sister and I now have the same whistle, used for the same purposes. It also comes in handy as a teacher from time to time:-)
Tell us your “dad-ism!”
Two that I can think of that my dad used to say all the time were, “You’re getting a taste of your own medicine” and “It’s a two-way street”. I love my dad.?
My dad had “the whistle” too. If I heard it I’d get home ASAP no matter where I was, and lord help me if I couldn’t hear the whistle! There would be major problems.
My dad died over 40 years ago, but I can still hear the whistle in my head. How I wish I could have learned it from him!
