Fire Prevention Month

October is Fire Prevention Month!  Many schools will have the local fire departments visiting WITH the FIRE TRUCK causing complete pandemonium among younger students.  Who doesn’t love the fire truck?  Students may get lucky enough to receive the always adorable red child fire helmet.

Incorporating Fire Safety into the curriculum could be as simple as reading an appropriate story to the class prompting discussions sure to lead you into beautiful teaching moments.

Safe Kids Worldwide provides safety tips by age level. The Fire Prevention Week Checklist is a fantastic tool to send home to involve the entire family!
