Colored vinyl sheets from Expressions Vinyl are very handy to have for a classroom teacher. We used these sheets to make lettering for some existing vinyl signs. We regularly change the dates on the signs that hang outside on the fence at the entrance to the school and these sheets were perfect for the task since there is no need for laminating. We cut them into 4 inch squares and inserted them into our die cutting machine to make the letters and numbers. I originally thought that they may leave stickiness on the dice (Is this proper plural form of “die”?) but they did not. After cutting them we simply peeled of the backing and stuck them on the sign.
I see another handy use for these which still includes using the die cutting machine and lettering. It would save a lot of time for bulletin board lettering because you don’t have to use staples or thumb tacks. Simply peel off the backing and stick the letters to your bulletin board.
With the variety of colors available, a teacher could go totally NUTS creating vinyl everything. Expressions even has magnetic vinyl and printable vinyl.
