Environmental Science Grants for Teachers

When you were in college, did anyone even bring up the subject of finding funding for your classroom and related activities? In my opinion, that needs to be a course unto itself!

One popular grant opportunity for teachers is Captain Planet Foundation. As the name might lead you to believe, Captain Planet Foundation grants are awarded for environmental related activities in one of the following categories.

EcoSolution: Youth-oriented solution-oriented projects
EcoTech: Utilize technology as part of an environmental solution
EcoStem Kits: Ready-to-go environmental Project Based Learning activities in a box.

All three grant cycles open:

Cycle 1: Opens Sept 15 and closes Jan 15
Cycle 2: Opens March 15 and closes July 15

Grants range from $500 – $2,500
