Ezra Jack Keats is a product of public education where he received encouragement to become an artist. The public library is where he discovered art history.
To foster the legacy, Ezra Jack Keats Foundation is offering minigrants of $500 for public schools and public libraries to foster creative expression.
Applications are due March 15, 2014 at 11:59pm
No definitive number of minigrants to be awarded, but looking at the 2013 winners, 60 were awarded nationwide. Go for it. You have plenty of time to collaborate to create a killer application.
