One item I valued as a teacher was a good—I mean REALLY GOOD—pair of shoes.
After years of blisters, teaching with NO shoes, lots of ice water baths–when that didn’t help, hot foot soaks. I finally realized that I had to stop buying cheap shoes and put some money on my feet since I was on them all day. As I bit the bullet and spent more than I thought I should on a pair of shoes, I realized that I had made the right decision. GREAT shoes are a must for teachers, pretty or ugly, comfort is the key!
I was contacted by the Dansko shoe company to test out a pair of their shoes. I had never heard of this brand, but as I asked around, everyone I talked to said the same thing. Those are GREAT shoes!
Watch the story of how Dansko shoes began—pretty amazing.
Living in Florida, I rarely wear “real” enclosed shoes. The Nigella by Dansko is a perfect Florida shoe…not only that, but a perfect teacher shoe. Made of beautiful brown leather, with decorative studs, your foot melts into the shoe. I received so many comments about how cute they were and more than a few people had to give them a try. It didn’t matter if they were a smaller or larger size than me, all agreed with me that the comfort factor is a 10+!
Today for National Teacher Appreciation Day, Dansko is giving one K-12 teacher and a teacher friend a pair of Dansko shoes EACH!
Ends May 10, 2013 8am EST.
Yippee! My feet are sore from a long day in the classroom as we speak. All of the shoes that I own are cheap – I am so excited to try a pair that comes so highly recommended by you! Thank you for all you do, Penny!
You will LOVE them! Pinky promise!
