This post brought to you by Chevrolet. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Penniless Teacher.
Although the simple definition of the word thankful is easy to express, the actual sentiment is expressed in millions of different ways by millions of different people. This is the time of the year where those expressions of gratitude and thankfulness shown to teachers are one of the highlights of any teacher’s career.
I have a “Good Letter” file from my teaching days that I opened to create this post. These are several reasons that make teaching rewarding and should be highlighted to our entire society. Treasures such as these were received from fellow teachers who know the small token of a hand written note means the world to a colleague.
Involving the students in your thanks to another teacher takes the tears off the charts!
Is there another profession in the universe that touches more lives than teaching? Not in my opinion. Gratitude and thanks to educators should also come from outside the walls of a school. No matter the occupation, EVERYONE has been touched by an educator.
The thanks received aren’t always seen by the general population. Chevy, realizing educators are under-appreciated, is expressing gratitude to educators for their dedication by offering the Chevrolet’s Educator Discount
Yep, you read that right, Chevy is offering not only teachers, but school employees, the Chevy Educator Discount. Now comes the difficult decision for educators….which Chevy to choose! I’ve narrowed it down to two, the Equinox or Malibu.
I’m all over 4-door vehicles because I can open the door and toss my items in the back. Other times, I haul children (and adults) around, just like any other person! I like a car, plain and simple. The Malibu is perfect.
But WAIT, I would really like an SUV as my “toss in the back seat” items are growing in size, as are the children! The Equinox is perfect. ARGHHHH, what should I do? Flip a coin? I see test drives in my future.
While I’m on the fence with my decision, take a look at the Chevrolet’s Educator Discount for yourself. What a generous gesture of appreciation to our under-appreciated profession.
Share with us how you would thank a teacher.
