These can be uses in my kindergarten literacy centers to engage students and foster critical thinking skills
I like that they seem to cover a variety of skills. I also like that they have activities at different levels so all students can use them. I would like to use these in my math and/or literacy work stations.
I would love to use them in my small intervention groups as well as within the classrooms I work with to support differentiation for my students.
Great reinforcement tool
I think these are great! I would love to use these in centers!
Centers……I’d probably share them with my friend teaching 1st grade next year!
I would love to have these think mats to reinforce the i can statements or objectives in small group stations. These would make a perfect addition to learning stations.
Love, love, love, for so many reasons!
I’d love these in centers or small group for hands-on learning!
I love that I could use these for differentiated centers for my students in all grades from 1-4!
These will fit in with our new approach to Math PERFECTLY! We are working to let the students devise a plan for solving the problems on their own- first. This looks awesome!
This would be great to use for centers.
My favorite thing about them is that they are open-ended… that is, there is no one right or wrong answer.
I think they are awesome! I could use them as part of my small groups and even in my centers!!
Great for centers and for practice
LOVE IT! After I introduce these in a small group I can use these in my “You’re Finished Bin” area.
I love the idea that there is not just one right answer with these mats. It allows students to come up with more then one way of doing something.
These would be wonderful at my fast finisher table. All the kiddos would have the mats available and build on each other’s work.
I love that the mats are open ended. You can have the students explain their thought process. Great for enrichment and and for those that need a little extra..
Would use these in my stations and with parent helpers and para pro to reinforce skills.
The Thinking Mats would be a great addition to our centers! What a great tool to be able to use with multiple levels in the classroom!
I love that there is no one right answer and that the students can use them multiple times to promote problem solving. I also love that they are easy to clean up. I’d use them for morning work, centers, and early finishers. I love that they can help promote differentiation.
I think that these are a great idea for teachers to use to help students explore open ended questions. The common core emphasizes going deeper into problem solving and these would help students do that.
This would be great for enrichment activities for the kids!
This is great for differentiating work for individuals and groups. I love that they change each time they do a problem. In today’s world of technology, kids like the quick and easy answers to things. I would love to have a way to challenge my students to use their Higher Level Thinking skills.
I love the thinking mats most of all! I would use them during math instruction for small group and individual students. Great idea!
They would be great in Centers or for early finishers. You can also use during a re-teach or enrichment period of your day.
These would be great for center work or small group instruction, but I would also leave them in my sub tub as an easy activity that can be done when I’m not there. Since the directions are printed right on the mat and they are color coded they should be very easy to use. Great product – I definitely want these!
The Common Core Thinking Mats would be great to use during math groups or for morning work. I would also use them to work one on one with struggling students and higher achievers!
I would love tho have thes think mats! Pertect for small groups, centers, morning work, and early finishers. I like the way they are color coded-easy clean up and no mix up!
These think mats would be great in my classroom! I teach Kindergarten, and this would be an easy center for my students to use. I love how manageable and easy they are to use!
LOVE that they are open ended. These would be a great for learning stations.
I would use these for center time. They would be a great tool for the students and engage their learning time.
These are awesome! I love these. I think these would be great for earlier finishers as well as a way of formatively assessing students.
These would be sooooo great for differentiation!!!! We do breakfast in the classroom, so students that ride the bus are always finished before my parent drop-offs get to school. These would be awesome to use during the time when the others are finishing their breakfast.
I would use these in stations. I could see them as being further explorations or reviews of ccss concepts.
I think the Common Core Thinking Mats look phenomenal! As a special education teacher, i LOVE the word “differentiation”. The ability to tailor these mats to eat child’s needs, and then for the mats to have the flexibility to change as the child develops, is awesome! These mats would be such an awesome asset to my resource room!
I love these! They would be great for centers.
I think that these mats are easy to use and very self explanatory. They are both teacher and student friendly and I would love to have them for my classroom.
great to use with a student(s) that are more of a tactile learner to reinforce skills!! Also could use with a student(s) who need more of a challenge. Great idea!!!
I think these look great, so versatile! They could be used for fast finishers or centers.
These would be great for my centers to encourage independent working or even group work!
Common Core is all about open ended thinking and what a great way to differentiate for our students. I would love to use these during summer school or in centers. What a great resource!
These would be great for centers or kids that finish early! Would save me lots of time!
I love things like this! I want these for my new 3rd grade classroom!
I love that they are common core aligned of course, I also love the little things like no cutting and being color coordinated for easy clean up! I would use these for students to use when they finish work, for formative assessments as we do standards based report cards. These would be great for all students to challenge themselves at their own pace.
last one 🙁 I like how they are self guided, and change every time the student picks it up.
These would make a great center and small group activity. The products tonight are great! 🙂
Wow!! These would be a fabulous addition to my classroom. I do a lot of small group instruction and these would be wonderful to put into my rotations. I love their alignment to Common Core!!
What an awesome tool for busy teachers who need a quick center or small group activity!
I think the Common Core Thinking Mats are a great center solution! I have an older center soultion set from Carson-Dellosa and I love it. This would be perfect for the math centers I do in the afternoon and even something to give the fast finshers something to do! Love them!!
I love the idea that they can be differentiated for any student. Teaching 5th grade, I have students that come into my classroom that could barely read to those that are working on a high school level. I would be able to adapt these mats to the student and their ability. I would use these during morning work or as an extension for a lesson.
I like the open ended format and that the items are color coded! Easy tear perforated edges will also save time. i could see these being used in small groups or independently by all students!
These would be great to use in centers after they are introduced.
PENNY HELP!!! My emails don’t match! I used my home one on raffle but for me to comment it is on my school email. Hopefully, that don;t mess me up! Vickie Bunkley MIller
I love these mats… They would be a great reinforcement tool to use in centers. But they could be differenciated to use with both struggling students and thoses that need to be challenged.
I love the idea because it makes the students think. This last year my school switched our math curriculum and the students were struggling with open ended answers like these because the previous curriculum told them how to solve things but did not teach them how to think for themselves on solving a math problem. I would love to use these in the morning as they come in or right after lunch.
Again, these make the prep time much quicker for the teacher. Thsi also allows a student to come up with their “OWN” answer not what they think might be the correct answer on the answer key. Making kids think on their own is difficult in a right now society. Centers would be a great use of this product or to use when they are finished with an assignment.
Another great resource for daily center rounds!
I’d use these mats as part of our work station rotations.
I think they would be great for guided math or reading, centers, review, and test prep.
Love the Thinking Mats…colors and pictures are beautiful. Easy to use for centers. Also love how they are perforated…no cutting involved.
In small group for reinforcement or in centers!
These would be great when my kids are working in small groups. They would definitely help reinforce the standard being addressed on that day.
I think this is an excellent tool to use for extra practice and during center time.
They’re very versatile. It seems that they can be used in many different ways. I love that they can be used for differentiation.
Love that they are so customizable! This is really a great idea for young learners.
Love this for differentiating for my students and it has them doing the thinking!
I like that they are open-ended, allowing students to come up with their own way to find a solution to a problem.
These would be amazing for my kindergarten classroom! I would be able to use them in centers and individual instruction too.
I think that these are great!!!! They would work for centers and my special education students!!!!
The Thinking Mats would be a great “Do Now” in my classroom. Students can work independently during Do Now and in small groups after the lesson.
I would love to have these. I love that they are ready to use and can be used independently.
As a new teacher I’m excited for the thinking maps. These games will give my 1st grade students to work independently and create their ideas and they practice.
I like that they are open ended and would be great to use in centers. Changing grades this year, I am looking for new and exciting things to enhance the students learning. I feel that these would accomplish that goal.
Love these for centers!
These would be great to have. I love that they are easy to differentiate and keep all of the students engaged.
