My first year of teaching, I was assigned to lunch duty that lasted another 14 years!  So here I am, the rookie at lunch duty that no one teaches you about in college.  I went to college for a fourteen year stretch of lunch duty?  ARGHHHH!  There should be a college prep class for teachers that explains the duties other than teaching like lunch duty, bus duty, conferences, first day of school EVER as a teacher….I could go on.

Back to my story….

I had no clue how difficult lunch duty would be with Kindies!  One day, a parent had lunch with her child and approached me with a question I only had this one time.  “Excuse me, When do YOU wipe their faces?”  In a flash, these responses went through my head….SHOCK!  WHAT?  Are you freakin’ serious?  Taking a deep breath, I responded politely, “I don’t.”
