Blogger #RoadTrip with the 2015 Kia Sedona SXL

It has been quite some time since I went on a road trip.  Growing up, my family always drove places across the country experiencing “quality” family time.  What could possibly be more fun than a road trip with two fellow bloggers, Jennifer from My boys and Their Toys and Kim from The Educators’ Spin On It.

Have you ever wanted to sit with someone simply to pick their brain about something?  This was my opportunity to shop talk about blogging.  Never did I think I would have an opportunity while driving in style down the road in a brand new 2015 Kia Sedona!  Leaving our beautiful Florida weather behind, as we cruised to Atlanta, I cannot tell you the thrill of experiencing the bells and whistles on the Kia Sedona.

I had not seen the amazing technology in vehicles for many years so thrilled doesn’t begin to describe my experience.  The first item on the new car agenda were the cameras helping the driver to back up with ease.  How did Kia make the screen with the vehicle from ABOVE.  We decided we would let ourselves believe we were being watched via satellite!

Either as a passenger or driver, you’ll find it takes time to learn how to control the many options available on the 2015 Kia Sedona.  Just about everything can be controlled in the front by the driver or passenger.  We learned to use the GPS getting us from point A to Point B with voice controls and easy to read maps that are not distracting!  The satellite radio provided us a wonderful variety of music, even giving us the name of the artist along with the song title.  There goes that game we played for years naming both the artist and song title at the speed of light 🙁

Imagine THREE bloggers on this road trip and that means TWITTER!  We sent out tweets throughout the trip including our favorite features which for me was the SMART cruise control.  I loved the control the driver has selecting the number of car lengths between you and the vehicles in front of you.  The Kia Sedona self detected, adjusting the speed without the driver doing anything!  Also impressive is the Lane Departure Warning System, an audible warning, letting the driver know there is a real danger (no more blind spots!).

Atlanta wanted three Florida girls to get a taste of the cold nasty weather we rarely experience letting us take advantage of the many cold weather options available on this multi-purpose vehicle.  Who wouldn’t fall in love with a warm steering wheel and toasty seats?  The 2015 Kia Sedona even alerted us to the road conditions with a cute little snowflake!

Let’s talk safety!  I have never been in a vehicle with so many airbags.

Road trips require a ton of space for passengers and luggage.  We were not disappointed and NEVER ran out of space.  Believe me, we traveled with luggage and laptops because a blogger just can’t be away from a laptop for very long.  We must BLOG!  There are enough USB outlets in the Kia Sedona allowing phone charging and even working on the computer.

I highly recommend a look-see at the 2015 Kia Sedona if you’re in the market for a new vehicle.  Kudos to Kia Motors America for donating $75,000 to Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities to award 16 scholarships in the amount of $4,000 per student!
