Animoto Free for Teachers

Have you seen our posts this week using Animoto?  Our introduction was used in this Gingerbread House building post with a follow up of our Gingerbread Costume.

We wanted to use Animoto to guide you to their FREE EDUCATOR program.

Educators who enroll with their school email are treated to a FREE Animoto Plus account to use in the classroom.  The email used to register, must match the domain of your school website.

Upload images, then delete the ones you don’t want to create and customize your video with an array of tools to create a one of a kind video specifically for YOUR lesson.  The simplicity of Animoto is the BEAUTY of Animoto.

Upon acceptance into the Animoto educator program, teachers are provided with a student promotion code to create 50 accounts for your students and/or teachers.  The program expires in 6 months, a little odd since most school years are 10 months long, but according to Animoto, it is simple to ask for another 6 months.

Parent organizations that are non-profit may also register for a free Animoto account.  Create videos about your school and organization, not to mention highlighting the wonderful work performed by parents for students, teachers, and the entire school.  Videos are only accessible to individuals provided with the URL keeping student videos private.  As always, teachers must be diligent that students not include any personal information.
