As a librarian, parents and students constantly asked for book recommendations.  The school librarian is in the unique position of knowing every child in the school.  This first hand knowledge helped me to pull a book from the shelf with great confidence the book would appeal to the student.  Amber Brown books never failed me!  Parents enjoyed reading the books with the student while students beamed with confidence when reading the book “all by myself!”
