Halloween is my favorite holiday! I was major bummed when my principal informed us that NO costumes were allowed at school, PERIOD! I think that decision was in large part to one family who refused to allow their two children to participate in anything related to the holiday.
Many schools still students and staff to wear a costume that is school appropriate. I’m sure there are thousands of definitions of “school appropriate!” Librarians have persuaded school officials to celebrate by dressing up as their favorite book character. Hey–better than not at all! Who has more characters then Dr. Seuss?
Elope Inc is hosting the Seuss-Tacular Costume Contest with both youth entries and adult entries.
