100th Day Celebration

The first year of teaching is an eye-opener.  Students walking like little soldiers in a line down the hall, designated weekly or daily jobs with assigned students, 100th day celebration.

What is the 100th day celebration?

Early elementary teachers celebrate this day like no one can imagine.  100 days of school?  Why celebrate?  Well, why not?  Students, parents and teachers celebrate 100 days of learning along with the approximate half way mark in the school year.

Hats, badges, parades, and more mark this in-school holiday creating AMAZING excitement among students.  As a beginning teacher, this important date was not something I learned in college!  The 100th day celebration became one of my favorite events!
