Students create a 500 word essay explaining why they should be recognized for their extraordinary commitment to building leadership and character within the school.
An adult sponsor is necessary for entry, a teacher, counselor, principal or advisor from the school. The name, title and email address of sponsor is required.

Winner will receive:
- $100 cash prize
- Sponsoring teacher will receive
- $500 Anderson’s Merchandise Certificate for the winner’s respective school
- Their photographs in the 2013/2014 edition of Anderson’s Middle School catalog and posted on the contest web page.
First runner up will receive:
- $50 cash prize
- Sponsoring teacher will receive
- $200 Anderson’s Merchandise Certificate for their respective school
- Their photographs posted on the contest web page.
Second runner up will receive:
- $50 cash prize
- Sponsoring teacher will receive:
- $100 Anderson’s Merchandise Certificate for their respective school
- Their photographs posted on the contest web page
